Diseases of the urinary tract are a leading cause of illness in the United States; in fact, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services claims 11 million doctor office visits each year and 367,246 hospitalizations are attributable to urinary tract infections. Annually, 53 percent of women report suffering from a urinary tract infection. Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital urologists provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care, including state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment capabilities for urological problems, including bladder disorders, kidney and urinary tract disorders, urinary incontinence issues and more. We also offer state-of-the-art lithotripter treatment to help patients eliminate kidney and gall bladder stones in a pain-free manner.
We also have fellowship trained urogynecologists on staff who provide consultation and comprehensive evaluation and diagnostic testing for women with complex pelvic floor conditions including urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic prolapse, pelvic pain, constipation/irritable bowel syndrome, and more.
