Support Groups
Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital hosts and facilitates a number of support groups to help people gain the support, advice and understanding of others who are in similar situations or circumstance. All interested individuals, including survivors, patients, caregivers as well as family and friends, are encouraged to attend our support groups in order to exchange mutual support with others who face the same or similar challenges.
Alzheimer’s Support Group
This free support group meets in the Westmoreland Nursing Center Library, 660 N. Westmoreland Rd., Lake Forest. Registration is not required, and all are welcome. For more information, please call (847) 535-6764.

Bereavement & Grief
This free support group addresses how to cope with common symptoms of grief, and is held at Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital, 660 N. Westmoreland Rd. For more information or to register, please call Heartland Hospice at (847) 991-0176.

Freedom From Smoking® Smoking Cessation Program
The American Lung Association's popular smoking cessation program is now at Lake Forest Health & Fitness Center. Millions of people have quit smoking, and you can do it, too!

National Stuttering Association Support Group

Resolve Through Sharing (R.T.S.) Bereavement Services

Surviving Motherhood 1 & 2
New mothers and their babies are invited to this forum to share and learn coping strategies. Topics include:
- Infant feedings
- Sleep patterns
- Changing family relationships
- Other areas of concern
"Surviving Motherhood 1" is for babies 2 weeks to 6 months old. "Surviving Motherhood 2" is for babies 6 to 18 months old.

WomenHeart

Every woman has a different experience living with heart disease. Come and share yours with someone who really understands your thoughts, concerns and feelings — this support group is for women who have been there.
