Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital board-certified rheumatologists provide consultation and treatment for men with all varieties of arthritis and other diseases of the joints, muscles and bones. There are more than 200 types of rheumatologic diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout, lupus, back pain, osteoporosis, and tendonitis. Men are particularly susceptible to gout and spondyloarthritis, but can develop any of these conditions.
Some of these are very serious diseases that can be difficult to diagnose and treat, but patients often fare better when these problems are diagnosed early. Our physicians have the experience to evaluate conflicting symptoms and make appropriate diagnoses. In addition to medications, patient education programs and occupational therapy are often recommended as part of individualized treatment plans.
We offer a variety of appointment times to best fit our patients' busy schedules. Please call to determine the best appointment time for you.
