Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital Announces New Imaging Center in Glenview
Lake Forest, Ill. – The Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital announced today the addition of a new Imaging Center planned for the Prairie Glen Medical Center located in The Glen. The Center will open in 2009 and offer MRI, CT and X-ray imaging services.
The Imaging Center in the Prairie Glen Medical Center is the eighth imaging center in the Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital Diagnostic Imaging network, the most expansive medical imaging network in Lake County. The announcement comes on the heels of Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital’s plan to acquire three imaging facilities in Gurnee, Libertyville and Bannockburn. Other locations include Lake Forest, Grayslake, Vernon Hills and a second facility in Gurnee.
“We are pleased to add another location to our growing network of imaging services,” said Thomas J. McAfee, President and Chief Executive Officer of Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital. “Our goal is to provide the highest quality of imaging services in locations close to home for our patients throughout the region.”
Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital Diagnostic Imaging now employs more than 150 staff at eight locations in Lake and Cook Counties and provides approximately 200,000 diagnostic imaging procedures for patients annually.
The hospital’s Diagnostic Imaging Department will be led by medical director Jeffrey L. Rosengarten, M.D, a board certified physician in diagnostic radiology certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners. Susan Becker, Director of Diagnostic Imaging at Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital, is the administrator of imaging capabilities for all hospital locations.
