Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital Wins Fourth Consecutive Consumers Choice Award

Each year, the NRC award identifies hospitals that health care consumers in over 250 markets throughout the U.S. have identified as their top choices. Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital has won the award every year that the NRC has surveyed the Lake-Kenosha counties market.
Consumers continue to make empowered decisions about their health care, according to Ginny Martin, President of NRC’s Health Care Market Guide Division. “As care options multiply and consumer perception of quality grows in importance, dedication to providing a high level of quality health care becomes essential for hospitals. These Consumer Choice award winners exemplify the dedication it takes to provide quality health care to their communities, and we are pleased to honor them through the eyes of their patients.”
Over the past four years, Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital has exemplified its commitment to the community by expanding services at its facilities, such as adding a state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization lab at the Lake Forest campus, and increasing hours at the Grayslake Acute Care Center to 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week. Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital has also bolstered its partnership with Children’s Memorial Hospital, adding new pediatric specialists to ensure the area’s children and babies receive the best care possible. Children’s physicians have been on staff at Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital for 9 years to treat pediatric and special care nursery patients 24 hours a day.
