Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital Names Director of Planning and Business Development

Lake Forest, Ill. – Damon Havill has begun his new duties as director of planning and business development at Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital. As a new member of the hospital’s leadership team, Havill’s responsibilities include assisting the clinical growth and development of the hospital as well as recommending strategies to assure that Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital continues to meet the needs of the community.

Havill most recently served as planning & business development manager at Summa Health System in Akron, Ohio, which operates three acute-care hospitals with a total of 1,235 licensed beds and a 140,000-member health plan offering commercial, Medicare and self-funded insurance products.

There he served in a key role on several projects including the system’s strategic plan and physician-alignment strategy.

"I decided to join Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital because I believe the organization has a bright future with a tremendous amount of growth potential,” says Havill. “I have been made to feel very welcome in the short time I have been with the hospital."

Havill has a master’s degree in health services administration from the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s degree from Emory University.

He and his wife Jennifer are newlyweds and currently reside in Hoffman Estates. In his spare time Havill enjoys golfing in the summer, skiing in the winter and traveling.
