Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital ’s First Baby of 2007 Goes Home With Two Gift Baskets
Lake Forest, Ill. – Two large gift baskets filled with useful items were delivered to the room of the first baby born at Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital in 2007 and her mother just before they went home Jan. 2. Brianna Michelle Rivera was born at 4:25 a.m. New Year's Day and weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces. Her parents are Rigoberto and Karina Rivera of Waukegan.
One of the gift baskets was from the Babies “R” Us store in Vernon Hills.
It was presented by Leslie Miller, promotional coordinator (left). The other basket, from Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital, was presented by Pauline Norton, interim director of the hospital’s Hunter Family Center for Women’s Health.
Brianna Michelle is the Rivera’s second child. Their first child, a son, is three years old. Brianna Michelle was born on her due date (Jan.1), so the couple had considered the possibility of having a first baby of 2007.
Karina continued working at her job at an Allstate insurance agency office in Waukegan until Friday, Dec. 29, before giving birth on Monday.
