From post-offer and annual medical surveillance exams, to acute injury care and wellness programs, Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital Occupational Health offers a wide range of services to provide exceptional value to your employees and your company. 

We provide all services at our two clinics in Lake Forest and Gurnee–Brookside, which are dedicated solely to employee health and staffed with highly skilled, board-certified physicians, nurses and technologists.  For added convenience, we are also able to provide customized, onsite health-related services at your workplace.

ACUTE & EMERGENCY CARE
Immediate treatment of an injured employee is essential.  Trained in workplace injuries, accidents and exposures, our professionals know how to react, foster healing and support individuals as they prepare to return to work.  We understand that immediate, accurate treatment is only the first step in managing a work-related injury, and we work hard to ensure the best possible outcome with the least time lost from work.

EMPLOYEE HEALTH SERVICES
In addition to injury treatment and post-accident drug and alcohol testing, Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital Occupational Health has extensive experience with post-offer physical exams (including job function screens) and drug testing as well as municipal, state and federally required services including Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals and drug testing, Illinois School Bus physicals, and law enforcement and firefighter physical exams.

In addition, we manage annual programs to satisfy OSHA requirements for respirator use, exposure to Ethylene Oxide and for Tuberculosis (TB) and hearing conservation.  Help is also available to establish and manage random drug and alcohol testing programs.

• DOT physical (exam includes medical history, vision acuity, dip stick urinalysis)

ONSITE HEALTH FAIRS
Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital Occupational Health can organize health fairs at your work site.  During the fair, we're able to conduct baseline testing, provide one-on-one counseling and suggest lifestyle and dietary modifications that can result in healthier, more productive employees.  Offerings typically include:

• Blood pressure testing
• Body fat measurement
• Bone density testing
• Finger stick cholesterol & blood sugar tests (with results in 10 minutes)
• Standard blood work
• Vision screening

ONSITE SERVICES
Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital Occupational Health understands that lack of convenience and overscheduled days are often barriers to providing routine health care.  That's why we're more than willing to come to your work site.

We can provide non-physician services at your workplace, including immunizations, drug screens, spirometry, educational services to meet OSHA requirements and more.  In addition, we can organize health fairs onsite, or offer wellness and exercise programs.

REHABILITATIVE SERVICES & PAIN TREATMENT
Through our Rehabilitative Services Department and Center for Pain Treatment & Rehabilitation, we offer job function screens, functional capacity evaluations, ergonomic assessments of your workplace and a chronic pain management program for employees in need of a comprehensive approach to managing chronic pain.

WELLNESS PROGRAMS
Through our affiliation with Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital Health & Fitness Center, we can provide personal training expertise and consultations ranging from workplace safety issues, such as proper lifting techniques, to overall wellness strategies that may include stress management, pilates and yoga instruction.

We also provide massage therapy services to aid with either muscle recovery or stress management, nutrition counseling sessions and smoking cessation programs.  Most of these activities can take place at your workplace, or employees can arrange to visit the nearby Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital Health & Fitness Center for services.
