Occupational Health Program

Lake Forest Hospital Occupational Health is dedicated to helping companies better manage employee health.  By choosing Lake Forest Hospital for your company's occupational health needs, you will benefit from:

  • Enhanced workplace reputation
  • Fewer workdays lost
  • Healthier employees
  • Increased productivity
  • Lower disability claims
  • Reduced exposure to long-term, health-related employer risks
  • Reduced health care costs

In short, we help you maintain a healthier workforce, which ultimately results in a healthier bottom line.

With convenient locations in Lake Forest and Gurnee–Brookside, Lake Forest Hospital Occupational Health operates two clinics dedicated solely to employee health.  Staffed with board-certified physicians, nurses and technologists who are highly skilled in emergency medicine, occupational health and travel medicine, our professionals are dedicated to fostering healthy minds and bodies in the workplace and on the road.

Our highly-skilled physicians work set days in the Emergency Department and in the occupational health clinic, which results in regular clinic office hours each week.  This schedule enables employees who are in need of repeat visits to build a personal relationship with the physician overseeing their care.

Integrated Case Management

At Lake Forest Hospital Occupational Health, we provide personalized service in coordinating your employee's care, from timely reporting outcomes of drug and alcohol tests to keeping you informed about every step of your employee's return-to-work process.

To meet your company's specific needs, we customize our worker's compensation protocols to ensure they work effectively for you.  And all sites are linked electronically so that your company treatment protocol is never more than a mouse click away.

Before your employee leaves our clinic, our nurse makes appointments for follow-up care, including physical and occupational therapy located close to home or work, and specialist referrals, if needed.

Whenever possible, follow-up care is scheduled outside of working hours, and appointments are typically available within two working days.  We ensure that employers are informed of any and all scheduled appointments.
