Pediatric neurologists offer expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of congenital and acquired neurological disorders in infants and children. The board-certified pediatric neurologists at Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital perform pediatric neurological examinations of the nerves of the head and neck; muscle strength and movement; balance, ambulation, and reflexes; and sensation, memory, speech, language and other cognitive abilities. They also perform diagnostic tests to aid in their diagnosis and treatment plan.

Through our partnership with Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, your child also has access to advanced care and resources, should they require it, in the treatment of such childhood neurological disorders as febrile seizures, autism and muscular atrophy disorders.

Ketogenic Diet

Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital is one of only two medical facilities in the Midwest, and the only one in the Chicago area, recognized by Johns Hopkins Medical Center and the Charlie Foundation to offer a comprehensive ketogenic diet program, a dietary treatment for children with epilepsy who do not respond to conventional medications.

We also offer 24-hour EEG and video monitoring services that are available Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For emergency care, we have a 24-hour emergency hotline. For appointment scheduling or additional information, please call 847.535.6801.
