Laboratory Services

Laboratory services are provided by physician pathologists and more than 70 technicians and technologists. These individuals represent multiple departments, including:

• Blood Banking
• Chemistry
• Cytology
• Hematology
• Histology
• Immunology
• Laser Scanning
• Microbiology (performed by Northwestern Memorial Hospital)
• Pathology
• Phlebotomy

We conduct everything from routine tests ordered by your child’s pediatrician in conjunction with annual check-ups to testing requested for the complex diagnosis or monitoring of medical conditions. For patient forms, please visit our Hospital Forms section.

Laboratory Outreach for Physicians

Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital's Laboratory Outreach program provides our quality laboratory testing for physicians with discounted pricing on tests. Services include patient service centers, courier pick-up, custom forms and front-end ordering through Lifepoint Informatics.
