Hand Therapy
Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital hand therapists have specialized training and experience in working with the hands and upper extremities. They work with patients who may have been affected by an accident or trauma leaving the patient with injured tendons or nerves, scars, fractures, wounds, or even amputation of the finger or hand. A hand therapist also treats patients who are disabled from the effects of cumulative trauma disorders, such as tennis elbow or carpal tunnel syndrome.
Many patients seeking the care of a hand therapist suffer from such chronic problems as arthritis or a neurological condition. Our occupational therapy staff includes a Certified Hand Therapist as well as occupational therapists with a wide variety of experience and expertise.
For a therapy appointment at any Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital location, please call Central Scheduling at (847) 535-8000. Please email any questions you have to occupationaltherapy@lfh.org.
