At Westmoreland Nursing Center, care is customized to meet the individual needs of our guests. Our dedicated staff has an average tenure of more than 12 years and is committed to providing the best short- and long-term care.
Located on Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital’s beautiful wooded campus, Westmoreland provides 24-hour nursing care in a secure environment. As a comprehensive nursing facility, Westmoreland is able to provide skilled nursing services, adult day care, respite care, hospice, on-site physical therapy, and speech therapy with access to all that Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital has to offer. We also offer a specialized dementia program, extended care program and osteoporosis screening.
Specialized Dementia program—We also offer a secure and specialized dementia program, where personal independence and safety are our primary concerns. Our security system, special low beds and a variety of mobility aids create a safe and secure environment for our guests. Regulating stimulation, mitigating disruptive behaviors, and creating opportunities to connect with others helps to maximize independence and cognitive health while offering families peace of mind.
Extended Care program—Our extended care program is a Medicare certified skilled nursing unit within Westmoreland Nursing Center that provides 24-hour, 7-day-a week care to a primarily older adult population. Patients typically experience altered mobility, self-care deficits, and a need for pain management and IV therapy.
