Statement of Need
The treatment for Fibromyalgia, addressing psychological claims and identifying current trends in chronic pain treatment continue to be areas of interest and concern. These presentations are expected to improve the attendees understanding of the issues presented and to develop an increased ability to recognize pain conditions and related concerns. This information should assist attendees in initiating appropriate treatment and making accurate referrals to obtain maximum benefit for their patients.
Learning Objectives
Analyze the rational of diagnosis and treatment for patients with fibromyalgia; examine patient situations that present as questionable psychological claims; compare treatment options for patients experiencing chronic benign pain.

Find out what it takes to be a dad from someone who knows — Lake Forest Hospital psychologist Wayne Glad, Ph.D. This innovative workshop helps build skills to promote active father-baby involvement. Discover how to maintain balance in your professional and personal lives and overcome the fears and insecurities of caring for a new baby. Develop a network of support in a comfortable, uninhibited and interactive environment.
This class is designed for both expecting fathers and new fathers to attend with their newborn to 12-month-old babies. It may be taken before or after the baby's arrival, and is offered twice a year in the spring and fall. The fee is $30 per session.

Our International Board Certified Lactation Consultants have designed this class to provide the information needed for a positive breastfeeding experience. Topics include:
- Anatomy and physiology of the breast
- Latching on

- Milk expression

- Optional "pump chat", offered at the end of the class, for participants wishing to increase their knowledge about breast pumps

This class also includes some safety issues related specifically to infants. Please note: this course is not a certification.

Prepare your child for the arrival of a new family member. This class is designed for the big brother-to-be or sister-to-be and teaches your child the proper way to hold the new baby, talk about feelings and learn sibling responsibilities. A visit to the nursery window is included.
This class is for 3- to 8-year-old children; one parent must accompany the child to class, and both parents are welcome. It should be taken in the last trimester of mom's pregnancy. This class is designed for new and expectant parents interested in learning lifesaving techniques, such as what to do when an infant is choking, as well as cardiopulmonary resuscitation for infants. This class also includes some safety issues related specifically to infants. Please note: this course is not a certification.

For your convenience, this class is offered in two formats and two locations — our 4-week evening series is offered in Lake Forest and Grayslake. Our popular all-day Saturday class is taught in Lake Forest. The fee is $100 per couple for weekday classes; $125 per couple for a weekend course.

Prepare your child for the arrival of a new family member. This class is designed for the big brother-to-be or sister-to-be and teaches your child the proper way to hold the new baby, talk about feelings and learn sibling responsibilities. A visit to the nursery window is included.
This class is for 3- to 8-year-old children; one parent must accompany the child to class, and both parents are welcome. It should be taken in the last trimester of mom's pregnancy.
