Skin Cancer—The sensitive skin of a developing child—and, in particular, of babies—is not prepared to react to sun exposure. The Skin Cancer Foundation warns parents that babies under six months of age should not be exposed at all to the sun. Children of all ages need proper levels of sunscreen protection whenever they are outside. By reducing or eliminating your child’s exposure to the sun, melanoma, or skin cancer, can be prevented.
