Lymphology (Lymphedema)
Lake Forest Hospital clinicians are certified lymphedema therapists who are skilled at managing the condition. Lymphedema is a swelling of a body part or area caused by the accumulation of lymph fluid. It most typically develops after cancer surgery, particularly if lymph nodes have been removed. Our team uses a variety of treatment techniques to reduce the severity of symptoms and fluid accumulation, which in turn lowers the risk of lymphedema or related infection. Treatment may include manual lymph drainage, compression therapy, remedial exercises or instruction on appropriate skin care.
We offer a variety of appointment times to best fit our patient's busy schedules. Please call to determine the best appointment time for you.
