Center for Child Development (Pediatric Therapy)
At Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital's Center for Child Development, we work in tandem with your family's physician to ensure that every child from birth to 21 years of age with developmental, neurological, neuromuscular, orthopaedic and rehabilitative needs receives the best possible diagnostic evaluation and treatment services.
If you have concerns about your child, our skilled therapists specialize in working with children with a variety of needs, including:
- Autism/PDD
- Cerebral palsy
- Developmental delays
- Fine or gross motor delay
- Head tilt (torticollis) or flat head (plagiocephaly)
- Low muscle tone (hypotonia)
- Orthopaedic problems
- Sensory integration disorders
- Spasticity
- Sports injuries

Our mission is to serve as a resource for families and their physicians in the collaborative assessment of the functional and developmental status of each child, as well as to coordinate and implement therapeutic interventions to meet your child's needs.
